Great opportunity for an entrepreneurial NP to earn additional income working with patients via telemedicine. DMV Hydration Therapy, LLC, working with The I.V. Doc (the “Uber” of I.V. drips, read more at www.theivdoc.com), is now hiring in the Washington D.C. metro area. The I.V. Doc provides I.V. hydration therapy in the comfort of a private home, office or hotel room, provided by a registered nurse with a licensed provider overseeing patient care. Patients receive fluids, electrolytes and medications to help relieve dehydration from hangover, flu, jet-lag, and even athletic overexertion.

Responsibilities:

Field calls from patients who book an appointment for I.V. hydration therapy. Work with patients via telemedicine to conduct health screenings in advance of treatment. Must have excellent communication skills and data entry proficiency. Average duration of call is 7-10 minutes.

Requirements:

NP license in DC,MD and VA (all three preferred); two years clinical experience. ICU/ER/Oncology experience is helpful. Excellent personality.

Salary: $90-120 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn equity in the business.

RN DC Chart Review SNF and onsite office Review (Washington)

compensation: $37.92 per hour

We have a new long term contract (1+ year commitment required) for 5 Full Time DC Licensed RN's to handle document review and facility assessments. Client is located in Washington, DC at a metro accessible location.(5 FT positions open NOW) **Nurses will conduct reviews and on-site nursing home reviews (in facilities, not homes).** WE ARE SEEKING STAFF WHO WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR

 

Goals: 1 nursing home site visit/day and 12 reviews completed/day.

Duties: Review Medicaid resident's charts (paper and/or electronic), Observe patients' condition, ability to perform ADLs, etc. Document chart review findings and observations into medical management system,  in the office, complete and close cases to initiate approval or denial correspondence. Must have 2 years UR experience and active DC RN License.

Nurses to work in the office in DC reviewing documents when not assigned to a SNF that day.

and also Nurses needed for assessments at skilled nursing facilities. (Parking reimbursed for facility visits ONLY.) Full Time Hours M-F 8a-5p.

NURSE/RISK MANAGER

Position Profile:

 

Provide support for clinical and health education services, as well as perform a variety of administrative activities to support the functioning of the clinic.  In addition, the Nurse/Risk Manager is a member of the Bread for the City team.  In that capacity they are expected to be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Bread and work collaboratively to achieve them.

 

Position Responsibilities Include:

 

Clinical – provides support during clinic hours and assists patients with more complicated medical problems with navigating the healthcare system.

 

●Triages walk-in patients and provides urgent phone advice;

 

●Works with providers to help with medical case management for patients with more complicated     medical problems;

 

•Manages follow up with patients after Emergency Department visits and hospital discharges.

 

Risk Management - guides the risk management plan and program; analyzes event reports; responds to patient grievances, complaints, and claims; educates staff on risk management and safety; and communicates with individuals at all levels of the organization.

 

•Supports the Chief Medical Officer in oversight and coordination of the health center’s risk management activities;

 

•Develops, coordinates and participates in ongoing training for clinic staff on risk management and safety, including required annual trainings on blood borne pathogens, mandatory reporting, and HIPAA;

 

•Coordinates safety activities, including inspections and inventories;

 

•Identifies areas of risk and develops additional policies and procedures to address them as necessary;

 

•Leads Emergency Preparedness Team, ensuring compliance with all internal policies and local and federal regulations;

 

•Works with the Chief Medical Officer to oversee credentialing and privileging of practitioners;

 

•Monitors compliance with all internal policies and local and federal regulations related to the Clinic;

 

•HRSA compliance/site visit prep including FTCA;

 

•Serves on the Quality & Risk Management Committee; manages, collects and evaluates data concerning patient incident reports and develops monthly and quarterly risk management reports that include trend analyses of incidents and complaints.

 

Health Education – creates an atmosphere of health education activities for patients to learn while waiting in the clinic.

 

•Works with the health resource room coordinator to provide health education activities for our patients;

 

•Provides clinical support to front desk staff and the health resource room.

 

Administrative:

 

•Supervises lab staff and oversees the ordering of supplies;

 

•Inventory-oversight of ordering and tracking medications, immunizations, and donations.

 

Qualifications:

 

•Strong desire to work with our patient population;

 

•Licensed RN in Washington, DC;

 

•Candidates that speak other languages such as Spanish, Amharic, or Mandarin are preferred;

 

•Ability to work with volunteers and staff in a professional and collaborative manner;

 

•Familiarity with Google Organization & Productivity Tools (Gmail, Google Docs, Calendar) and/or ability to learn new technology systems;

 

•Willingness to learn and carry out Bread for the City's commitments to social justice and racial equity.
